In the years that we have been in business, for me the Accounting has been the worst part. Making sure that invoices are written, sent, followed up. Not only that but the end-of-month and end-of-year reporting. Well, it is not one my strengths nor is it one of my interests.
For years I worked on QuickBooks and hated every minute of it. When I first started, I actually hired a QuickBooks specialist to help me navigate and set up the accounts. So to add insult to injury of their $35/month fee … I spent another $250 just to setup the darn thing. The worst part was … I didn’t even utilize QuickBooks as I should. It was just too much work!
Their customer service was TERRIBLE … I could never find the answers I needed … so I had to outsource for help. The whole experience was not fun at all. The only benefit was that somehow I was tossed into their focus group – and they occasionally paid me a few bucks to answer a bunch of questions about their new rollouts.
I was too nervous about switching to another provider … until …
October of 2017 … I received notice that QuickBooks upped their price to $50/month. Are you kidding me?!?
That is when FreshBooks FREE TRIAL and a small business fee of $25/month caught my eye … and their claim:
I knew a few vendors who used FreshBooks … and I liked the look of their invoices, so I thought to give it a try.
Well, I have to say that I LOVE FreshBooks. It is so easy and friendly to use. It helps me communicate with my clients on a whole new level. Even when I receive a payment – there is an option that allows me to THANK THEM! Go figure? Imagine thanking someone for paying you. Crazy, huh?
